This week’s question:
Q: Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you’ve read and loved?
Oh good, this one’s easy. I really, really loved this book. I hate the cover. So much that I will never buy a physical copy of this book, even though I am all about physical copies, because I don’t want it on my shelves. Digital only for me.
1. I understand that the tear of blood is actually very relevant to the plot, but ewwwww.
2. WHY IS SHE WHITE? NO. Unacceptable. (If you haven’t read it, the main character is Asian.)
(Seriously though, it’s an awesome book).
I seriously love this, I can’t believe I didn’t think of it! I agree though, she doesn’t look how I imagined Allie, she looks so old.. and like you said – white! Haha, the book is amazing though!! <3

I haven’t read this book so I can’t compare what is in the book to the cover. But by just looking at it, I kinda like it. Plus I loved her Iron Fey series so I am wanting to read it.
Thanks for stopping by.

I wasn’t a fan of this mainly because I’ve seen it before with Tim O’Rourkes book, like a year before this book was released, so I felt it was copy cat-ish AND this season’s True Blood did this too!

Lol, you have some good points, but I’ve definitely seen worse cover. I can’t wait to see what the sequel to this will look like though!

Worse covers, yes, but since the qualification was that it had to be on a book I loved, well that narrows the playing field 🙂
hmm, it was an ok book, and I actually thought the cover was ok. I don’t want to cry bloody tears though! Old Follower ^__^

I don’t mind the cover but I do agree with the model not being a match for Allie

Ugh, I hate whitewashed covers. I mean, what’s wrong with putting an asian girl? What’s there to be ashamed of? New Follower.

It’s not the better book it’s true but it’s not the worst either, I kind of like it.

I love the cover, but haven’t read the book yet. Your explanation definitely makes sense about why it doesn’t work. Great answer! Old follower.

The model annoys me indeed, but besides that I LOVE the cover <3

aww I really like this one’s cover! So much that I bought the physical book! I don’t like the model because the heroine is Asian, but I love the general theme because it matches the tone of the book and even the darkness of the dystopian world. I also love the tear and how striking it is against the background. I’m hoping they get an Asian model for the 2nd cover though! Old follower!

I think the cover is a little strange! I’ve heard that this novel is absolutely amazing though! I really liked The Iron King by Julie Kagawa… I guess I should pick up the rest of the series!
